Cartridge 110 was introduced by Kodak in 1972 for pocket size Instamatic cameras. The new pocket cameras became immediately popular, and soon used it competitors for example series 16 of Minolta. Cartridge 110 includes a film with a width of 16 mm with a perforation at every frame of the bark is suitable for controlling the film. The film is secured with paper tape with printed numbers of frames that are visible through a small window behind the cassette and the larger window in the lid of the camera shows a window with a frame number plus a label with the parameters of the film.
In September 2009 Fujifilm ended production the 110 and it seemed that this standard is over. But in 2012, Lomography restored type 110 for life by creating a new brand of film Lomography Orca.
