The CMP4 digital level meter was developed at the ZOTAP Teletransmission Measurement Apparatus Development Department, a company subordinated to the Electronics Department of the Warsaw University of Technology in 1975 until the end of the 1980s. It was produced in ZOTAP and Państwowe Zakłady Teletransmisacyjnych PZT (both companies no longer exist). It was sold as a portable instrument or as equipment for the SBS test stand. It was mounted in a typical housing.

Specifications:

  • Signal level: -60 dB ÷ + 20 dB
  • Frequency range: 30 Hz – 120 kHz
  • Balanced input (950ohm / 600ohm / 15k) and asymmetrical
  • Supply voltage: 220 V / 50 Hz
  • Display: 6x NIXIE lamp
  • Dimensions: 44x25x14cm
  • Weight: 7.8 kg

The measuring range of the transducer was only 20dB, full coverage of the measuring range was achieved with switched input attenuators. The instrument has an output for a printer, but I never used it. For several years, I used the exhibit in the photo.
