In 1933 in Czechoslovakia opened Optotechnica factory in Prerov. Initially, they produced enlargers and dark-room equipment. The first camera was produced in 1939 (Flexette, the roll films 6×6). In 1946 the company was nationalized and renamed Meopta. After the fall of communism was the plant was privatized in 1992.
Cameras Flexaret were produced from 1948 to 1971 were the cameras for roll film were also available to enable the use of adapters 35mm. Were highly prized and sought after because of the parameters of the camera and a large image format accepted by newspapers and publishers. Currently, the most sought after is Flexaret VI, and he achieves the highest prices at auction.
Flexaret IV was produced in 1950 -57.
It is a TLR camera for a roll film 60 mm, sharpness control was a lever under the lens and move the mask to which were attached to both lenses.
- Shutter SVS Prontor, 1-1/400 s and B, built-in self-timer.

I got the camera from Pawel complete with faulty shutter and self-timer. It required only lubrication. Unfortunately I haven’t bag and 35mm adapter.
